Little Wills (Guest Post)

Lake Winnipeg Sunset
 Clutter of wills,
 attempting to imitate WILL,
rest back in silence and listen
 (eyes, ears and heart)
 as WILL descends.

 WILL,
 offering ITSELF—
 offering,
 not demanding,
 shining forth in splendour

 no judgement
 of little wills—
 just, by its Presence,
 saying,
 “There is more.”

 Little wills relaxing,
relaxing in the Presence of WILL,
 smiling,
 bowing ever so slightly—
 then sober

 sober
 at the thought of death
yet knowing that they have met—
 seen, heard and felt—
that which they have sought to imitate.

 Little wills
 standing sober
 at the gate of death,
 at the gate of mystery
surrounded by the glance of LOVE.
